We call the 2 vacation homes Bozbania. They are located just outside of the small friendly town of Paquera. It's just a five minute drive to the center of Paquera that has all the modern conveniences. There are 2 grocery stores, a pharmacy, restaurants, bars, ATM, delicious bakeries, and a great coffee shop.
Conveniently located just a few minutes from the Puntarenas ferry. From there, you can explore the San Jose area, Monteverde, Arenal, La Fortuna, Jaco, or many other popular sites. Make it a day trip or spend a night and head back home in the morning. Check the ferry schedules to maximize your time.
The 2 side by side homes are completely fenced in so you can close the gate at night for added security and privacy. If you open the gates early in the morning, you might catch one of the guys who drive by with fresh bread, cheese, fruits and other goodies. Listen for the three beeps of their horn. We love to get the Costa Rican enchiladas which are puff pastries filled with deliciousness. They are hot and wrapped in foil.
In the late afternoon or early evening, sit outside and listen for the macaws. There are 3 or 4 pairs that fly overhead.
THE AREA
There is a lot to keep you busy if you want to explore the area. And of course there are multiple uncrowded beaches to visit if you want to swim and relax. You could visit a new beach every day for a week and never drive more than 25 minutes. Check out our recommendations and descriptions in our blog.
